Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Huza Network ("Huza", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our platform you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, including Law N° 058/2021 of 13/10/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy, and Law N° 24/2016 governing information and communication technologies.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or 13+ with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, to use Huza Network. By signing up you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable Rwandan law.
4. Mentorship Conduct
- Treat mentors, mentees, staff and partners with respect at all times.
- No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, sexual content involving minors, fraud, or solicitation.
- Mentorship is offered in good faith. Mentors are not licensed advisors; their guidance is for educational and developmental purposes only.
- Sessions, notes and messages may be reviewed by Huza administrators for safety and quality assurance.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (profile, CV, messages, feedback). You grant Huza a limited licence to host, display, and process this content solely to operate the platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.
6. Internships and Opportunities
Huza may list internships and opportunities posted by partner organisations. We do not guarantee placement, outcome, compensation, or working conditions. Always verify offers independently before accepting.
7. Payments and Donations
Donations made through the platform are processed by third-party providers. Donations are generally non-refundable unless required by law. Receipts are issued by the receiving organisation.
8. Intellectual Property
The Huza name, logo, platform design and code are owned by Huza Network. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without prior written permission.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, Rwandan law, or pose a safety risk to other users.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Rwandan law, Huza is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute will first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Rwanda, with Rwandan law as the governing law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
